Feet grounded in now
I seek to fly to then
To heights beyond my imagining
To see from above
To soar in freedom
As I release my feet from the anchor of earth
And trust I will return refreshed and renewed,
My spirit carrying both the wisdom of the heights
And the memory of solid ground.
Many are experiencing a very human desire to escape the difficulties that arise in these days of constant change. We at times need to step away to gain perspective and find a bit of balance that helps us ground in our breath, rest our nervous system, and experience moments of respite and renewal. Wishing each of us these moments through actual travel, meditation, guided imagery, reflection, contemplation, dance, art, or any of the many ways available to us to lift our spirit and let it soar.
