An Orchestral Dance

While the vibrant sound of violins flows into my ears,
I hear the outside voices of children in squeals and laughter
as ocean waves crash upon the shore.
An image of porpoise at play witnessed earlier in the day
enters my imagination and melds into this orchestral dance.

All the sounds and images in this moment create an ensemble
that rises in my heart as a spiritual crescendo of:
anticipation,
proclamation,
and annunciation.

Spirit rejoices in the ordinary moment of a day
to burst forth in joy, beauty, play, and re-creation.
It must express itself with desire to be heard and seen.
To be alive.
