To The Unseen Stars

If I were a kitten
I would have purred
while curled up softly
around my heart
settled in a ray of sunshine
in front of the windows facing west
listening to the bird conversations
that tickled my ears
with the scent of newly warm
Spring air after a day of rain.
All that flowed out from within
was the spark that rose to the yet
unseen stars.

“The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.”

Carl Sagan

“A thought, even a possibility, can shatter and transform us.”

Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

“Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities.”

Gloria Steinem
