Morning peace arrives with first light.

Hello Janis,
I’m writing to thank you. We met at your Wisdom Ways class almost 3 weeks ago and I bought your book, “One World”. The timing of the class, your book, and your online newsletter/blog couldn’t be more perfect at this time in my life. The deep and familiar connections I experience through your creations bring about a spiritual intimacy that is fitting for the deep and consistent grief I am attempting to honor and hold with grace. I have an incurable blood cancer that is ever-present in its threatening ways, but I am choosing to embrace your poem “My Goodness” as a trail partner. I especially connect with the line “with sparks of God in the depths of our core” as a reminder of what I’ve known since I was 7 years old learning my First Communion prayers. Prior to Communion Sunday, I asked God if it would be okay if I quietly said, “Lord, I AM worthy to receive you” instead of the nun’s version, “Lord, I am not worthy…”. So, thank you for the reminder that I truly am in “The sacred moments of living.” Beautiful, especially meaningful, and so worthy of my deepest gratitude.
